From legacy servers to AWS EKS
Services ran directly on Linux servers, each with its own deployment quirks and runbook. I helped rebuild the path to production around one standard platform.
- RuntimeAWS EKS as the standard runtime, replacing per-service Linux hosts; GKE clusters maintained alongside.
- ProvisioningTerraform and Terragrunt for repeatable, consistent environments.
- DeliveryHelm packaging and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, so shipping became routine instead of risky.
- VisibilityDatadog, Prometheus and Grafana for cluster and service health.
- DataPostgreSQL tuned for high availability, backups and query performance during the move.
